"Treading Lightly", a stunning sculpture of a young girl stepping boldly forward, clutching a balloon. Capturing her in a moment of poised uncertainty, her expression open to the infinite possibilities ahead. Cast in bronze—a material known for its permanence and beauty—this piece embodies resilience and grace.
The balloon, light and buoyant, contrasts with the steadfast bronze of the girl, symbolizing hope and aspiration. It hints at the possibility of transcendence, suggesting that the unknown she steps toward may offer freedom rather than fear. The sculpture’s title, Treading Lightly, encourages contemplation about the balance between embracing life’s uncertainties and remaining grounded.
This piece inspires reflection and optimism, making it an ideal centerpiece for a home, garden, or gallery. Its themes of courage, hope, and transformation speak to those who value art that goes beyond aesthetics to evoke emotional and intellectual depth. Whether as a personal reminder of resilience or a gift for someone embarking on a new journey, Treading Lightly is a celebration of the bravery it takes to step forward, not knowing whether you’ll fly or fall.
With its enduring presence, it stands as a symbol of beauty and strengt, transcending generations to inspire awe and admiration for centuries to come.

Foundry Bronze – – refers to the poured molten metal that is cast solid or hollow, depending on size, at a bronze foundry (using the traditional lost wax process). It is more robust and will appreciate in value.
Foundry Bronze metal is a copper and tin alloy that is shaped using the traditional method of bronze casting, using the lost wax process – used by sculptors in ancient Greece.
The bronze is melted at extremely high temperatures and then poured into a ceramic mould. The lost wax method of casting is a highly skilled, complex, time-consuming and labour intensive process.
The skill required in the casting, combined with the innate value of the bronze (which is made from copper and tin), gives rise to the comparatively high price of a bronze sculpture.
Foundry Bronze sculpture lasts indefinitely and as the premier and most authentic sculptural material is often considered to be an investment. It is much harder to repair than cold cast bronze if it is damaged, but damage is much less likely due to its strength and durability.
